Lauren Belski

Lauren Belski is a graduate of the Brooklyn College MFA program and the author of the short story collection Whatever Used to Grow Around Here. Her short fiction, poetry, essays and criticism have appeared in Make, Matter, Black Rabbit Quarterly, The Trout Family Almanac, StoryQuarterly, Avidly, and elsewhere. Her novel-in-progress Dark Enough (then by a different name) was short-listed for The Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society’s William Wisdom Award and was also a finalist for The Carson McCullers Center Fellowship at Columbia State University. After taking a long break to cuddle her two awesome kids and bike them all around the city, she finally finished her book in 2021. Dark Enough is her first novel. Her work is represented by Arielle Datz.
